Job Description

Responsible for ensuring a product or service meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability, and performance. Responsible for the writing and execution of tests, and reporting of issues

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute functional test plans, cases and scripts.
  • Create, execute and maintain manual and automated test cases.
  • Manage multiple projects at one time
  • Document and evaluate test results, track and manage defects and troubleshoot issues.
  • Execute existing QA capabilities, strategies, approaches and services.
  • Track and report against established QA metrics.
  • Clearly define applicable testing procedures and expectations with business and development teams.
  • Support QA activities related to complex application and system implementation projects.
  • Support holistic testing efforts for multiple projects and software releases, including integration, system, regression, performance and user acceptance testing.
  • Communicate QA activity status.
  • Provide estimates for testing tasks and responsibilities.
  • Partner with business analysts to ensure requirements are understood for proper testing.
  • Assists Software Development Team with Help Desk support calls as needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Preferred Experience/Skills

  • 5 years of Software Testing experience required
  • Prior software development experience preferred
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Experience with Test Automation tools for Web and Windows Applications
  • Experience understanding Business Requirements and Functional Specifications
  • Experience creating Test Plans/Test Cases to provide adequate coverage of the Business Requirements and Functional Specifications
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and writing T-SQL queries
  • Experience with various methods of software testing to address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, end-to-end and integration testing, boundary/negative testing, error or defect retests, usability tests, and user acceptance tests.
  • Experience with testing web applications for cross-browser compatibility using desktops, tablets, and smartphones
  • Experience with testing both Web Applications and Windows Applications
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Experience with MS Team Foundation Server is a plus
  • Experience working with cloud services like Microsoft Azure is a plus
  • Ability to effectively execute exploratory testing while documenting repeatable steps
  • Ability to create clear and thorough steps for developers to reproduce issues
  • Ability to manage priorities and multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to identify/recommend areas for improvement
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering Field required


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
