The licensed practical vocational nurse (LVN) primary function is to administer skilled nursing care to patients in their place of residence, as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with the established plan of care. The licensed practical, vocational nurse/LPN/LVN works under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) and coordinates care with the interdisciplinary team as well as the patient/family. The licensed practical, vocational nurse /LPN/LVN will deliver care in compliance with state, federal, and medicare standards and the kindred at home policies and procedures.
Requirements
Applicant must have 2 years experience as an LPN/LVN in a clinical setting, preferably in a home health or hospice setting. Applicant requires current nursing license in the practicing state; a valid driving license; and a current CPR certification is required.
Education
Graduate of an accredited licensed practical nursing program or accredited school of vocational nursing.
