Slitter Operator (hs)

This steel manufacturing company is seeking a Slitter Set-up and Operator for a full-time, long-term position. You will cut sheet metal into strips of specified widths, maintain the operation and upkeep of the slitter, thread sheeting through the slitter, verify measurements with precision measuring instrument, adjust guides and roller tensions, and place rolls for overhead crane. Work hours are 6 a.m. to 2:
30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
All candidates must have prior experience with setting-up and operating a Slitter Machine, must be mechanically inclined, must have basic math and computer skills, must be safety-conscious, must be a team player, must be dependable, and must be detail-oriented.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
