Manufacturing Engineer

Manufacturing Engineer designs, implements, develops and/or coordinates the development of manufacturing processes which meet all customer specifications, on-time and within budget.
o Will identify, create, and apply manufacturing best practices and standards to tooling and process design.
o Acts as a vital resource for technical questions related to manufacturing and quality processes.
o Continually seek new manufacturing technology and processing methods that will improve the productivity, cost, quality, and agility of manufacturing.
o Identify and proactively address technical and resource issues and risks ensuring project milestones are met.
o Utilize the knowledge management network, both formal and informal, to develop the best practical solution and offer feedback to peers, when needed.
o Serve, when required, as the manufacturing team leader on cross-functional projects.
o Develop methods and systems enabling robust quality in manufacturing processes.
o Preparing design layouts of tooling, jigs, and fixtures to enable parts to be machined properly and efficiently.
o Preparing formal drawings of tooling, jigs and fixtures depicting component parts, machine tools, dimensions and assuring manufacturability.
o Assisting the Tool Room in the construction and the modification of tooling, jigs and fixtures to ensure the part conforms to its design and meets the needs of Manufacturing.
o Assisting with the troubleshooting to alleviate tooling and fixture problems.
o Coordinating with Purchasing for the procurement of materials for the tooling, jigs and fixtures.
o Support corporate continuous improvement by identifying, developing and implementing cost reduction and tooling improvement concepts.
BS degree in engineering and/or equivalent experience plus appropriate continuous training.
Leadership experience, Leading projects, managing projects, etc.
Experience:
5
years of experience in a manufacturing engineering position or equivalent.
Manufacturing Engineer must have experience leading mid to large size manufacturing projects.
Manufacturing Engineer recognized as a key resource or subject matter expert in areas of expertise.
Manufacturing Engineer must be skilled in the use of CAD software, part development, strip layout and utilize best practices in tooling and process design.
Manufacturing Engineer must have extensive experience in stamping.
Pay Rate:
$20/hr.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
