Machinist Apprentice

Streetsboro, OH Streetsboro, OH Full-time Full-time $18 an hour $18 an hour Responsibilities Fabricate and machine components, mostly in steel, from drawings/blueprints Set-up and operate all machine tools in a tool room environment including but not limited to, conventional mills, lathes, drill presses, saws and grinders.
Safely perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of machine shop and tool room practices and techniques Use measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, gages and other measuring instruments to ensure parts are within specifications Responsible for keeping work area clean and free from safety hazards and to maintain acceptable quality and efficiency level.
Must be able to work independently with minimum guidance Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Trade school experience is preferred (Machining, Fabrication, etc) 2
years of Machining or Tool & Die experience in a metal manufacturing setting Knowledge of cutting, milling, welding, assembly, tool composition and metal fabrication Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and models Capable of using standard tools and measurement devices such as micrometers, scales, rulers, depth gauges and calipers Organized self-starter with proven ability to co-ordinate and effectively follow up on multiple projects and assignments and meet all deadlines Has working knowledge of advanced shop mathematics Basic computer skills (preferably able to read and render Auto Cad) Ability to display good mechanical skills.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
